Sarah-Jane Morris
I have been a Counsellor for over 13 years.
My specialisms are Weight Loss, Bereavement, Trauma and Young People.
Weight Loss: Sometimes we can get stuck in unhealthy behaviours.
As soon as we fall back into our old ways we feel we will never achieve our goals.
Hypnotherapy explores the old behaviours and how you can re-programme the mind to take more notice of the new and more healthy behaviours.
Bereavement: Loss and bereavement at any age is difficult. Those dark moments can be overwhelming and hard to discuss with a loved one within your family unit.
Talking to a therapist can help you process the emotions and the events before the loss. There can also be other losses that can add up over time and for whatever reason, you have gotten to point where you are numb and unable to make sense of how you are feeling.
Anger, sadness, hurt, frustration, guilt, shame can all be worked through in therapy.
Trauma: Trauma can be loss, can be as the result of an accident, can be as the result of witnessing a traumatic event or can be as the result of neglect, abuse, rape or crime.
I have worked with clients who have lost loved ones through suicide and professionals who have been first to attend a scene of crime.
Young People: Young people see the world through their eyes and difficulties can arise when they have misunderstood or have been misguided, sometimes missing out on developmental stages. I work with young people to help them make sense of their world and fill in any gaps.
